Earlier this year, National Energy Resources Australia (NERA) announced the establishment of multiple Hydrogen Technology Clusters around Australia.
The Northern Territory Hydrogen Technology Cluster (THTC) is managed by the Darwin Innovation Hub, in consultation with the Northern Territory Government, Charles Darwin University, NERA and the Energy Club, as well as partnering with domestic and international partners on the development of the hydrogen supply chain, making the Northern Territory as a recognized global leader in the development of a world scale renewable hydrogen industry.

Mary Hackett, THTC Ambassador and Chairperson of FENEX
Mary Hackett has an extensive career in the resource sector, spanning more than 30 years, with senior executive roles in Brown & Root, Woodside, and General Electric. Her most recent executive role being CEO of General Electric Oil & Gas for Australasia.
Mary is currently Non-Executive Director and Chair of the ESS (Environment, Social and Safety) committee for Northern Star Resources, Chair of Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre, Non-Executive Director of Strike Energy and Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance committee for Clean Marine Fuel Institute.
Jill Stajduhar, Chief Operating Officer of FENEX
Previously the GM Industry Research and Innovation at NERA, Jill draws on extensive strategic industry research experience in joint-venture and research & development management. As a stakeholder engagement, business strategy and business development professional, she supports collaborative business partnerships between small and large companies and the research community. Jill has managed a range of diverse organisations over the past 25 years across a number of industry sectors.
Emma Nesbitt, Chief Operating Officer of Darwin Innovation Hub and Chairperson of THTC
Emma is responsible for the delivery of all programs and services of the Darwin Innovation Hub. She directs a team of Innovators, Experts and Entrepreneurs who support the Territories growing business community, providing business management and commercialisation support across NT relevant industries. Emma assists in the analysis and identification of involvements, pre-project management, probability and impact, as well as drivers, functional requirements, capital raising and on-going risk management.
Gavin Asikas, Manager Energy Industry Supply Chain (SA & NT)
As Manager Energy Industry Supply Chain (SA and NT), Gavin is responsible for building and maximising the capability and capacity of supply chains in South Australia and the Northern Territory, associated with the lifecycle of onshore and offshore oil and gas projects and hybrid and emerging cleantech and renewable energy technologies, to help improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
